retail LOGGIA & LYCEUM GATEWAY--SEASIDE FLORIDA

Christopher Andrews worked on these plans as Project Architect and Project Manager with Solomon Architecture and Urban Design.  The Retail Loggia Building contains 6,000 square feet of retail space with the arcade’s exterior side opening onto Seaside’s main street. The internal side encompasses an amphitheater with a stage and tower designed by Leon Krier. A rose-covered arbor shelters the interior arcade and amphitheater seating.

Fronting onto the Loggia is the Lyceum Gateway Building, a mixed use development with four retail spaces and ten courtyard condominiums.  The Lyceum Gateway is the largest building on the main square of New Urbanisms iconic new town Seaside, Florida. It joins with other buildings designed by distinguished architects to define and link two of the town's most important public spaces.
